The trend, explained
The story behind the RainDance AI trend
The RainDance AI trend uses character photos as references for newly generated coastal videos. Explore its musical inspiration, the two roles and what to expect from an AI-generated result.

Start with the song and its official video
“Raindance” is a song by Dave featuring Tems. The official video is the source to consult for the artists, performance and visual setting. A fan-made AI remix is a separate edit; it does not show the artists appearing with you or document a real event.
Why the two roles matter
The coastal sequence moves between a dock and an open shoreline, with close-ups and scenes featuring both characters. Consistent character appearance helps connect those scenes into a short story, although AI-generated details can vary between shots.
Each photo is a separate casting choice. Photo A provides the reference for the dock character; Photo B provides the reference for the waterfront performer. Use one clear adult per photo and choose roles by the performance you prefer.
How character references guide AI generation
A reference-to-video model uses photos and a visual reference to generate new video frames. The photos guide character appearance, while the visual reference guides the scene and performance. Clothing, expressions, movement, backgrounds and camera details may vary in the result.
Assign one photo to each role. We combine the generated scenes into an approximately 27-second silent video. The fictional cast example illustrates the style and the natural variation of AI output.
Share a remix with context
Use photos you have permission to use and describe the result as an AI remix. Downloads are silent; add music available through your publishing platform under its terms. We are independent of the artists and label.
